Mason Mount Sidelined: Manchester United Midfielder Out for 'Few Games' Due to Injury

Mason Mount, the talented midfielder who recently joined Manchester United from Chelsea in a £60 million deal, has announced that he will be sidelined for several games due to a new injury setback.

In a statement shared on social media, Mount revealed that he sustained a minor muscle issue during the last game, which was confirmed after a medical check. Although the injury is not severe, it will keep him out of action for a few games, leaving him frustrated and eager to return to the pitch.

Mount expressed his disappointment, saying, "I wanted you to hear it directly from me how frustrated I am, as I expect you are too." He reassured fans that he will "do everything possible to be back in the best shape and help the team."

This setback comes after Mount had worked diligently during pre-season to regain his fitness, feeling "re-energised, sharp, and ready" for the new season.

Manchester United's next game is scheduled for September 1, 2024, against Liverpool at 16:00, but Mount will likely miss this fixture. The Red Devils will also face Southampton on September 14, Barnsley in the Carabao Cup on September 17, and Crystal Palace on September 21.
