A devastating car accident has claimed the lives of two young ladies and left two young men fighting for their lives in Calabar, the capital of Cross River State. The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday, August 19, 2024, at the Mobil by MCC junction in Calabar Municipality LGA.

According to eyewitnesses, the victims were traveling in a white-colored GLK 350-4Matic Benz when the accident occurred. Two of the victims, identified as Wofai and Bella, tragically lost their lives at the scene. The two young men who were also onboard are currently receiving critical medical attention, but their identities have not been disclosed.

Reports indicate that the victims were returning from a friend's birthday party held on Sunday night, August 18. The cause of the accident is still unknown, and an investigation is underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.

Video footage from the scene shows the devastating aftermath of the accident, with the victims lying helpless and covered in blood. The vehicle was severely damaged, highlighting the severity of the crash.

The two deceased ladies were affiliated with the Cross River State College of Health Technology Calabar, and their untimely deaths have sent shockwaves through the community. Friends and family are mourning the loss of these young lives, and the injured men are receiving support and prayers for their recovery.
