The exchange began when Odumodu took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to post side-by-side photos, comparing how Nigerian superstar Ayra Starr posed with Jaywon and how she posed with American rapper Future. The post, which seemed to invite a comparison, was captioned simply with, "This life ehn."
In response to the post, Jaywon did not hold back, responding directly to Odumodu with a sharp rebuke. "Lol, you’re already dragging your senior, who’s going to drag you? You haven’t even started life, and you’re already stepping on toes," Jaywon wrote, emphasizing the need for younger artists to show respect to those who came before them.
