Liverpool secured a dramatic 3-2 victory over Brighton & Hove Albion in their League Cup clash on October 30, 2024. 
The match, held at Brighton’s Amex Stadium, highlighted Cody Gakpo’s scoring prowess as he netted twice, opening the score just after the halftime break and adding his second goal in the 63rd minute.
Luis Diaz contributed Liverpool’s third goal in the 85th minute, pushing the visitors toward victory.
Brighton fought hard to keep up, with Simon Adingra scoring in the 81st minute and Tariq Lamptey bringing Brighton back within a goal in the 90th minute. Despite their best efforts, Brighton fell just short of equalizing.
