Manchester City faced a challenging night in their EFL Cup clash against Tottenham Hotspur on October 30, 2024, as they fell 2-1 in a tightly contested match at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Tottenham seized an early lead when Timo Werner found the net in just the 5th minute, capitalizing on a well-timed assist from Dejan Kulusevski.
The home side continued to press, with Pape Matar Sarr doubling Tottenham’s advantage in the 25th minute, again assisted by Kulusevski, who played a pivotal role in Spurs' attack.
