Manchester United claimed a 5-2 victory over Leicester City in their EFL Cup clash on October 30, 2024. The match saw significant contributions from Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro, each scoring two goals, while Alejandro Garnacho added another. 
Casemiro opened the scoring in the 15th minute, with Garnacho following at the 28th minute. Leicester’s Bilal El Khannouss managed to cut down the lead with a goal in the 33rd minute, but Fernandes quickly restored United's two-goal advantage just minutes later.
Casemiro then scored again in the 39th minute, with Leicester’s Conor Coady scoring in stoppage time of the first half. Fernandes completed the scoring for United in the 59th minute, sealing their place in the next round.
With this strong result under interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy, United will look to build momentum as they prepare to face Fulham next in the Premier League on November 4.
