
Premier League Announces October 2024 Player of the Month Nominees
The Premier League has unveiled the contenders for the Player of the Month award for October 2024.
The nominees are Cole Palmer (Chelsea), Facundo Buonanotte (Leicester City), Josko Gvardiol (Manchester City), Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), Matz Sels (Nottingham Forest), Danny Welbeck (Brighton), and Christopher Wood (Nottingham Forest).
Cole Palmer's exceptional form saw him score the decisive goal in a 2-1 victory over Newcastle United and create numerous chances for Chelsea.
Facundo Buonanotte has been instrumental for Leicester City, scoring two goals in three matches, including a critical winner against AFC Bournemouth and another in a thrilling 3-2 comeback win at Southampton.
Josko Gvardiol has been a defensive stalwart for Manchester City, contributing a stunning goal in a 2-1 win against Wolverhampton Wanderers while ensuring solid defensive performances across all matches.
Bryan Mbeumo has continued his excellent run, netting three goals in three matches, including a brace in a dramatic 4-3 comeback against Ipswich Town.
Bukayo Saka's contributions have been vital, being directly involved in four goals across two appearances.
Matz Sels, Danny Welbeck, and Christopher Wood have also made significant impacts for their respective teams throughout the month.
The winner will be announced next Friday, with the decision based on a combination of fan votes and assessments from a panel of football experts
