David Alaba has expressed immense joy as he prepares to return to the field, nearly a year after suffering a major injury. 
The Real Madrid defender faced a severe setback when he ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in his left knee during a match against Villarreal on December 17, 2023. The injury, which required surgery and extensive rehabilitation, forced him to miss the remainder of the 2023/24 season.
In what turned out to be his final appearance of the season, Alaba was substituted just 35 minutes into the game against Villarreal due to the severity of his injury. Since that day, his primary focus has been on his recovery, working tirelessly to rebuild his strength and fitness in preparation for a return to competitive football.
