The Nigerian striker netted a brace in Sevilla's dominant 3-0 victory over Las Rozas CF in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday night.
The match kicked off with Sevilla taking an early lead due to an own goal by Las Rozas defender Luis Mendez. Iheanacho doubled the advantage in the 60th minute, deftly tapping in a cross from Juan Sánchez. He secured his brace 11 minutes before full-time, pouncing on a rebound after Gerard Fernández's shot was initially blocked.
Iheanacho joined Sevilla on a free transfer this summer following the expiration of his contract with Leicester City. Despite limited playing time this season, the 28-year-old forward has made a notable impact with his recent performance. Expressing his joy, he remarked, "I'm very happy to have scored my first goals for this club. It's very good for my confidence and that of the team, which hopefully will finish in the top six."
Sevilla now looks ahead to their next challenge against Real Sociedad, with Iheanacho aiming to build on this momentum and secure a regular spot in the starting lineup.
