Arne Slot has confirmed that Federico Chiesa will not be part of the squad for the upcoming match against Real Madrid.
Slot stated, “Federico Chiesa is not in the squad to face Real Madrid. But you can see that he is starting to be involved in training.”
Chiesa has been dealing with a muscle injury that has kept him sidelined for several weeks. Since joining Liverpool in August 2024 for a reported £12.5 million, Chiesa has made three appearances, playing a total of 78 minutes. Despite the limited playing time, he has shown great promise.
With several key players still sidelined, Slot has placed his trust in other players to step up for the match against Real Madrid, viewing it as a crucial test for the team.
