Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta revealed that he had to substitute Gabriel Magalhaes with six minutes remaining in their 5-1 Champions League victory over Sporting CP due to the defender feeling discomfort.

Arteta commented, "We had to make the change for Gabriel because he was feeling some discomfort."

The match saw goals from Gabriel Martinelli (7'), Kai Havertz (22'), Gabriel Magalhaes (45'), Goncalo Inacio (47'), Bukayo Saka (65' pen.), and Leandro Trossard (82').

The Gunners will next face West Ham United in the Premier League on Saturday.
