Veteran Nigerian actor, Abdulsalam Sanyaolu, fondly known as Charles Olumo or Baba Agbako, has been laid to rest in Ogun State. The renowned film star passed away on October 31 at the remarkable age of 101.
In accordance with Islamic traditions, Sanyaolu was buried in a simple white attire. The burial ceremony, which took place at his residence in Abeokuta, the state capital, was attended by family members and colleagues from the film industry.
Bolaji Amusan, President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), took to Instagram to confirm the actor's burial. In a heartfelt tribute, Amusan wrote, "Finally laid to rest. May your soul rest in peace, Pa Charles Olumo Sanyanolu Agbako."
Sanyaolu's passing marks the end of an era in Nigerian cinema, and his legacy will be deeply missed by fans and fellow actors alike. His remarkable 101-year lifespan is a testament to his enduring impact on the entertainment industry.
