Serie A has officially announced an additional transfer window from June 1 to June 10, 2025, to accommodate the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup. This initiative is in response to the unique timing of the tournament, which spans across two seasons. The early transfer window will allow clubs, particularly those participating in the Club World Cup, to make necessary adjustments and strengthen their squads ahead of the prestigious international competition.
The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) approved this request, recognizing the importance of flexibility given the unusual timing of the tournament. Serie A clubs, including Inter Milan and Juventus, will benefit from this special transfer window, allowing them to register new players before the Club World Cup kicks off on June 15, 2025.
This measure aims to ensure that teams are well-prepared and can field their strongest squads for the Club World Cup, which will take place in the United States.
