Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario will be out for several months after undergoing surgery for a fractured ankle sustained during last weekend's 4-0 victory over Manchester City. Despite the injury, Vicario played for 60 minutes, showcasing his resilience and toughness.
Manager Ange Postecoglou praised Vicario's performance, saying, "The fact he played at that level for 60 minutes with a fractured ankle... it says it all about Guglielmo." However, Postecoglou confirmed that Tottenham will not sign a new goalkeeper in January, expressing full confidence in veteran Fraser Forster to fill the void.
Tottenham's next game is against Roma in the Europa League on Thursday, followed by a busy December schedule that includes a Carabao Cup quarter-final against Manchester United and a Premier League derby against Chelsea.
