Gal Gadot, the Israeli actress renowned for her portrayal of Wonder Woman, has revealed that she underwent emergency brain surgery in February after being diagnosed with a significant blood clot during the eighth month of her fourth pregnancy.
Gadot, 39, experienced severe headaches for several weeks, which confined her to bed. An MRI eventually revealed a substantial blood clot in her brain. She was promptly hospitalized and underwent emergency surgery. During this period of uncertainty, she gave birth to her daughter, Ori. The name Ori, meaning "my light" in Hebrew, was chosen to symbolize hope during this challenging time.
Expressing gratitude towards the medical team at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, Gadot emphasized the importance of being attentive to one's health. She highlighted that cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT), though rare, can occur in approximately 3 out of 100,000 pregnant women over 30. Early detection is crucial, as the condition is treatable. Gadot shared her experience to raise awareness and empower others to prioritize their health.
