Matheus Cunha has been handed a two-match suspension and fined £80,000 by the Football Association (FA) for misconduct following Wolverhampton Wanderers' recent match against Ipswich Town.
The incident occurred after the final whistle, when Cunha was involved in an altercation that included him removing the glasses of an Ipswich staff member.
As a result of the suspension, Cunha will miss Wolverhampton's next two fixtures: an upcoming Premier League clash against Nottingham Forest and their FA Cup third-round match against Bristol City.
This punishment follows a series of disciplinary issues within the team, and the FA has taken strong action to address the behavior.
Cunha, who has been in solid form this season with 10 goals and 4 assists in the Premier League, acknowledged the charges against him. His absence will be a notable blow to the team in the upcoming games.
