Mohamed Salah addressed questions regarding his contract negotiations with Liverpool following their 5-0 victory over West Ham United on December 29, 2024. 
When asked about the progress of his contract talks, Salah responded, "We are far away from that." He added, "I don't wanna put stuff in the media and people talk about it."
In the match against West Ham, Salah was instrumental, scoring one goal and providing two assists. This performance brought his season tally to 20 goals across all competitions.
Luis Diaz opened the scoring in the 30th minute, followed by a goal from Cody Gakpo, set up by Salah. Salah then scored just before halftime, making it 3-0. Trent Alexander-Arnold added a fourth goal in the 54th minute, and Diogo Jota completed the rout in the 84th minute, assisted by Salah.
This victory extended Liverpool's lead at the top of the Premier League to eight points, with 45 points from 18 games.
