The banner sparked outrage online, with many users criticizing it and expressing concern over the negative attitudes some Muslims display towards their Christian counterparts.

Following the backlash, the banner was reportedly taken down. In response to the incident, Vector commented on social media, suggesting that such actions were intended to stir religious tension in Lagos. He wrote, “They are trying to trigger religious unrest in Lagos… lol.” He also reflected on the broader issue of division, stating, “At a point, you will see all that is happening is still divide and conquer… the sad part is, it’s not new.”

Vector went on to recount a past experience during a tribal clash in Lagos, where he witnessed a man fleeing with a severe back injury. He ended his remarks by sarcastically laughing at those trying to incite conflict, saying, “I Dey laugh all of una wey dey form ‘instigators.’”

The controversial banner was eventually removed after the public outcry. In an update, a member of the mosque community confirmed that it had been taken down in response to the criticism.
