The match began with an early breakthrough when Rodrigo de Paul sent a long pass toward Samu Lino. Although the Salzburg defense initially cleared the ball, it fell to Julián Álvarez, who quickly played it to Giuliano Simeone. Positioned inside the penalty area, Simeone struck with precision, sending a low right-footed shot across the goal and into the net.

The visitors soon doubled their advantage through another well-executed play. De Paul once again demonstrated his passing ability, delivering a long ball to Giuliano Simeone on the right flank.
