Bayer Leverkusen Squander Two-Goal Lead in 2-2 Draw Against RB Leipzig

Bayer Leverkusen experienced a significant setback in their Bundesliga title pursuit today, conceding a two-goal advantage to draw 2-2 against RB Leipzig. This result leaves them trailing league leaders Bayern Munich by six points.
Leverkusen commenced the match assertively, with Patrik Schick opening the scoring, followed by Aleix Garcia doubling the lead. Both goals were expertly facilitated by the in-form Florian Wirtz.

However, Leipzig initiated their comeback when David Raum converted a free kick, reducing the deficit. The equalizer materialized through an own goal by Leverkusen's defender Edmond Tapsoba. Despite creating opportunities to reclaim the lead, Leverkusen was unable to capitalize, resulting in a shared point.

This draw compounds a challenging week for Leverkusen, following their 2-1 defeat to Atletico Madrid in the Champions League. The team will need to regroup swiftly as they prepare to face Sparta Prague in their upcoming fixture.
