Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has expressed his strong disapproval of the two-match suspension imposed on forward Vinícius Júnior, following an incident during a La Liga match against Valencia.


Ancelotti emphasized that the suspension was unjust, highlighting the significant mental and emotional challenges Vinícius faces due to persistent racist abuse.

Ancelotti stated, "We are delighted with Vinícius in every aspect. Both he and I hear what happens on the pitch. I keep saying that it is difficult to be Vinícius. The sanction is not correct."

He further remarked, "When you talk about Vinícius' provocation, you deflect the shot from the insults he receives."

Despite the suspension, Vinícius is available to play in the upcoming Spanish Super Cup semi-final against Mallorca. Ancelotti expressed confidence in his team's preparation for the match, noting, "We know the opponent very well and they know us. It's going to be very competitive, they cost us a lot in La Liga. They have good characteristics and ... ."
