Olmo rejoined Barcelona on August 9, 2024, signing a six-year contract with a €500 million buyout clause. The transfer from RB Leipzig was valued at approximately €60 million.

Since his return, Olmo has made a significant impact on the field. He debuted on August 27, 2024, against Rayo Vallecano, scoring the decisive goal in the 82nd minute to secure a 2–1 victory. In La Liga, he has scored five goals in 11 matches during the 2024/2025 season. Additionally, he netted his first UEFA Champions League goal for Barcelona on November 26, 2024, contributing to a 3–0 win over Stade Brestois.

Despite his on-field successes, Barcelona has encountered difficulties registering Olmo due to financial fair play regulations. The club's attempts to secure his registration have been hindered by financial challenges, leading to concerns about his eligibility to play in upcoming matches.

Olmo's recent social media post underscores his dedication to Barcelona, even as the club works to resolve these registration issues. His performance since rejoining has been impressive, and his commitment remains unwavering amid the administrative challenges faced by the club.
