Ollie Watkins Rejects Arsenal Interest to Stay at Aston Villa, Confirms Unai Emery

Aston Villa's head coach, Unai Emery, has confirmed that striker Ollie Watkins has expressed his desire to remain with the club, despite interest from Arsenal. Emery stated, "We asked him how he is feeling and he is happy here." 

This season, Watkins has been a pivotal player for Aston Villa. In the Premier League, he has made 22 appearances, scoring 10 goals and providing 4 assists. In the UEFA Champions League, he has featured in 6 matches, contributing 2 assists. 

Arsenal recently submitted a bid for Watkins, which Aston Villa rejected. Emery emphasized the club's commitment to retaining the striker, especially with fellow forward Jhon Durán nearing a move to Al Nassr. He remarked, "The commitment of Watkins is really a huge commitment to defend Aston Villa."
