Napoli Pursuing Allan Saint-Maximin Amid Loan Termination Talks
Napoli is making renewed efforts to secure a deal for Allan Saint-Maximin, while discussions are ongoing between Al-Ahli and Fenerbahçe regarding the termination of his current loan.
The Italian club has reached a verbal agreement with Al-Ahli for a short-term loan until June, reportedly valued at around €4 million. However, the transfer depends on the early termination of Saint-Maximin’s existing loan with Fenerbahçe, where he has been playing since the beginning of the season.
Saint-Maximin, who joined Al-Ahli from Newcastle United in July 2023, was loaned to the Turkish club for the 2024–25 season. To facilitate his move to Napoli, Al-Ahli must negotiate his release from Fenerbahçe before the Saudi Pro League’s transfer window closes at midnight on January 31. Meanwhile, the Italian transfer window remains open until February 3, giving Napoli additional time to finalize the deal.
Napoli is looking to reinforce its attacking options following Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s departure to Paris Saint-Germain earlier in the transfer window. The club had previously considered other targets, including Alejandro Garnacho and Karim Adeyemi, but has now set its sights on Saint-Maximin as a key addition to their squad.
Negotiations are expected to continue in the coming hours as all parties work toward an agreement that would see the French winger make a move to Serie A.
