Nigerian singer Tems has canceled her upcoming 'Born in the Wild' tour stop in Kigali, Rwanda, scheduled for March 22, 2025. The decision follows the ongoing tensions between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
Tems announced the cancellation on her social media platforms, expressing regret over the oversight. She stated, "I recently promoted my show in Rwanda without realizing there is an ongoing conflict between Rwanda and Congo. I never intend to be insensitive to the situation."

The conflict centers around the M23 rebel group, which has been active in eastern DRC. Rwanda has been accused of supporting the M23, leading to heightened tensions in the region.

Tems' 'Born in the Wild' tour is in support of her debut studio album, which received critical acclaim upon its release in June 2024. The album showcases her versatility, blending genres such as highlife, hip-hop, and R&B.
