Marcus Rashford delivered a standout performance as Aston Villa secured a 3-0 victory over Preston North End in the FA Cup quarter-finals. The Manchester United loanee ended his four-month goal drought in style, scoring twice to help his team book a spot at Wembley.
Rashford opened the scoring after a precise pass from Lucas Digne, showing great composure to slot the ball home. He later converted a penalty, awarded after a foul on Morgan Rogers, in a moment that caught attention—taking the spot-kick without looking at the ball. Jacob Ramsey added the third goal, sealing a dominant win for Unai Emery’s side.

Speaking after the match, Rashford expressed his joy at returning to the scoresheet, saying, "It's a great feeling to be back on the scoresheet and help the team reach Wembley." Manager Unai Emery also praised Rashford’s dedication and adaptation since joining the club on loan.

With this victory, Aston Villa moves closer to ending their 68-year FA Cup drought, having last lifted the trophy in 1957. They will face Crystal Palace in the semi-finals at Wembley on April 26.
