The jury reached a unanimous guilty verdict on all charges after three and a half hours of deliberation. The case revolved around a fraudulent scheme in which Kingston, 35, and Turner, 62, deceived multiple businesses, including jewelers, a luxury car dealership, and a television installation company. Their actions led to financial losses exceeding $1 million, as they falsely claimed to have completed bank wire transfers to pay for high-end items such as cars and jewelry—transactions that were never fulfilled.
Turner, who was previously convicted of similar offenses, played a central role in the scheme, acting as its "fixer and nerve center." Due to concerns about her being a flight risk, she was immediately taken into custody at Broward County Jail following the verdict. Meanwhile, Kingston was placed under house arrest with electronic monitoring. His bond conditions required a $200,000 cash surety, and a relative's $500,000 property was also used as collateral.
Both Kingston and Turner now face potential prison sentences of up to 20 years for each count. Their sentencing hearing is scheduled for July 11.
