Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface has urged Nigerian fans to remain patient as he works through his current goal drought. Taking to Instagram, he reassured supporters, stating, "9ja plz be patient with me. The goal will come."
Boniface played a crucial role in Bayer Leverkusen's 3-1 victory over VfL Bochum on March 28, 2025. Although he has struggled to find the back of the net in recent matches, he made a decisive impact by scoring Leverkusen's second goal in the 60th minute, restoring their lead after Bochum had equalized.
The match saw Aleix Garcia open the scoring for Leverkusen in the 20th minute, but Bochum responded quickly with Felix Passlack leveling the game six minutes later. Boniface’s goal put Leverkusen back in front, and Amine Adli secured the win with an 87th-minute strike.
