Kelechi Iheanacho, the Nigerian forward, marked a significant milestone in his career by scoring his first goal for Middlesbrough during their Sky Bet Championship match against Oxford United. The game, held at the Riverside Stadium, saw Middlesbrough secure a 2-1 victory, with Iheanacho playing a pivotal role in the comeback.
Oxford United initially took the lead in the 38th minute through Michal Helik. However, Iheanacho equalized for Middlesbrough just three minutes into the second half, converting a precise cross from Samuel Iling-Junior. The decisive goal came in the 80th minute, courtesy of Neto Borges, who capitalized on another assist from Iling-Junior.

After the match, Iheanacho shared his joy on social media, posting a photo of himself with the caption: "Man no be God 1st of many."

Iheanacho's journey to Middlesbrough has been eventful. The 28-year-old joined the club on loan from Sevilla during the January transfer window. His move followed a challenging stint in Spain, where he struggled to find consistent form. Prior to his time at Sevilla, Iheanacho had an illustrious career in England, playing for Manchester City and Leicester City, where he won the FA Cup and the English Community Shield.
