Singer 2Baba took his new lover, Honorable Natasha, to meet his mum.
2Baba (Innocent Idibia) has introduced Honorable Natasha Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly, to his family, leading to significant public attention and controversy.
Following his separation from wife Annie Idibia, 2Baba proposed to Natasha on February 13, 2025. The proposal was captured in a video showing the couple dancing and embracing after she accepted the ring.
Shortly after, 2Baba's mother, Rose Idibia, publicly expressed concerns about the relationship. In a viral video, she pleaded with Natasha to "free her son," alleging that beads placed on 2Baba's neck and wrist were influencing his behavior and that he was "not in his right senses" amid his ongoing divorce.
Natasha addressed these allegations in an interview, clarifying that the beads are traditional heirlooms from her royal lineage, gifted by her grandfather, Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin. She emphasized that 2Baba admired the beads for their cultural significance and chose to wear them voluntarily, denying any use of spiritual influence.
2Baba defended Natasha on social media, stating that she had no involvement in his marital issues with Annie. He described Natasha as a "young, brilliant, amazing woman" and affirmed his love for her, expressing his intention to marry her.
