Erling Haaland Set to Miss Majority of Season Due to Ankle Injury but Expected Back for Club World Cup

Manchester City have been dealt a serious injury blow to Erling Haaland. 

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland is anticipated to miss a significant portion of the remaining season due to an ankle injury sustained during the FA Cup quarter-final victory over Bournemouth. 

Recall that Haaland was substituted in the 61st minute after scoring the equalizer and subsequently left the stadium in a protective boot and on crutches, raising concerns about his availability for upcoming fixtures.

Initial assessments have been conducted, and the club awaits further evaluation from specialists to determine the full extent of the injury. Despite this setback, Manchester City remains hopeful that Haaland will recover in time to participate in the FIFA Club World Cup this summer.
