Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has provided an update following the ankle injury he sustained during the FA Cup quarter-final against Bournemouth on Sunday.
Haaland shared a photo on his social media accounts, depicting himself standing with crutches raised and wearing a protective boot on his left foot, accompanied by the caption, "I'll be back," and a flexed biceps emoji.

The injury occurred when Bournemouth right-back Lewis Cook landed awkwardly on Haaland's ankle during the second half of the match. Subsequent medical evaluations have determined that Haaland will be sidelined for approximately five to seven weeks. Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola expressed his disappointment over the setback but conveyed confidence in the team's ability to adapt during Haaland's absence.

Haaland's injury means he will miss several crucial fixtures, including the upcoming Manchester derby. The club aims for his return in time for the FIFA Club World Cup, which commences on June 18.

In the absence of Erling Haaland, recent signing Omar Marmoush is expected to assume the primary striking responsibilities for Manchester City. The team remains focused on securing a Champions League spot and advancing in the FA Cup during Haaland's recovery period.
