Bayern Munich's attacking midfielder, Jamal Musiala, has suffered a muscle tear in his left hamstring and is expected to be sidelined for approximately six to eight weeks.
The injury occurred during Bayern's 3-1 victory over FC Augsburg, where Musiala was substituted in the 54th minute after experiencing discomfort.
This setback means Musiala will miss several crucial fixtures, including the upcoming UEFA Champions League quarter-final first leg against Inter Milan scheduled for April 8. His absence adds to Bayern's growing injury concerns, with key players such as defenders Dayot Upamecano, Alphonso Davies, Hiroki Ito, and goalkeeper Manuel Neuer also sidelined.
Despite these challenges, Bayern Munich maintains a nine-point lead over second-placed Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga title race. The team will need to rely on its squad depth to navigate the upcoming matches without several of their regular starters.
