Liverpool players plan to gather on Wednesday evening to watch Arsenal’s Premier League match against Crystal Palace—a fixture that could seal the title for Liverpool if Arsenal suffers a defeat.
Captain Virgil van Dijk spoke about the plan, saying, “To be honest, I expect Arsenal to win at home. But if it doesn't happen, then I think it will be nice to be together.” He also mentioned, “However that may look, we'll discuss in the next couple of days.”
This situation echoes their 2020 title win, when the team celebrated together after watching Chelsea defeat Manchester City.
Liverpool currently holds a 13-point lead at the top of the table following a 1-0 win over Leicester City, where Trent Alexander-Arnold scored the decisive goal. If Arsenal wins on Wednesday, Liverpool will still have the opportunity to clinch the title with a victory against Tottenham on Sunday.
