Tyrese Gibson’s daughter, Shayla, has reportedly chosen to live with her father after turning 18, a decision that could bring an end to the $10,690 monthly child support payments previously mandated by the court.
Gibson shares Shayla with his ex-wife, Norma Mitchell, and their child support arrangement has been a subject of legal disputes in recent years. The actor and singer has been vocal about his devotion to his children, often emphasizing the importance of maintaining a strong bond despite past conflicts.
In earlier court proceedings, Gibson was also ordered to pay a separate $10,000 per month in child support for his younger daughter, Soraya, whom he shares with ex-wife Samantha Lee.
While the legal implications of Shayla’s decision have not been officially confirmed, her move to live with her father could impact the existing support terms. Gibson has previously sought modifications to his child support obligations, citing changes in his income and financial responsibilities.
