Arsenal Emerge as Strong Contenders in Pursuit of Real Madrid's Rodrygo
Arsenal Football Club have reportedly positioned themselves as serious contenders in the race to sign Real Madrid forward Rodrygo Silva de Goes during the upcoming summer transfer window. The 24-year-old Brazilian international, who has been a key figure at the Santiago Bernabéu since his arrival in 2019, is attracting significant interest from several Premier League clubs, including Manchester City and Liverpool.
Rodrygo’s versatility—able to operate on either wing or through the centre—aligns well with Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta’s tactical system. Despite already having Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli in wide positions, the Gunners are eager to strengthen their attacking options, especially considering recent injuries to Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz.

Although Rodrygo has publicly downplayed speculation about his future, stating his commitment to Real Madrid, the anticipated arrival of Kylian Mbappé could reduce his playing time, potentially prompting him to reconsider his position. Arsenal have reportedly held preliminary talks with Rodrygo’s representatives, signalling their strong interest in securing a deal.
As the summer transfer window approaches, Arsenal’s pursuit of Rodrygo reflects their ambition to improve squad depth and quality, with the goal of turning recent progress into tangible success in both the Premier League and European competitions.
