Jonathan Tah has officially joined FC Bayern Munich on a four-year contract running until June 2029. The German international defender makes the move from Bayer Leverkusen on a free transfer, marking a significant addition to Bayern’s defensive lineup.
Tah, who played a pivotal role in Leverkusen’s 2023/24 Bundesliga-winning campaign, brings experience, leadership, and tactical versatility to the Bavarian club. His ability to excel in both a back four and a three-man defense makes him a valuable asset for Bayern’s ambitions in domestic and European competitions.

Expressing his excitement about the move, Tah stated: “I’m very happy to be at FC Bayern. I want to take on responsibility here and work hard every day so that we’re successful as a team and win lots of trophies together.”

This transfer comes after Bayern’s unsuccessful pursuit of Florian Wirtz, making Tah their first major signing of the summer. The club is expected to continue strengthening its squad, with potential reinforcements in other key positions.
