White, who departed the 2022 World Cup squad citing personal reasons amid reports of a disagreement with then-assistant coach Steve Holland, had since declined call-ups during Gareth Southgate's tenure.
However, with Tuchel now at the helm, the 27-year-old is open to rejoining the national setup. "I'm definitely available," White stated. "I've spoken to Thomas Tuchel a few times; he's such a nice, honest man. I haven't been back for too long, so it's just about playing now and hopefully making my way back in."
Tuchel, who officially began his role as England manager in January, has expressed his intention to offer all players a fresh start. Regarding White, Tuchel remarked, "He loves to be back in the squad. It's a bit too early given the seriousness of the injury he had. I'm delighted he's back. We've been monitoring his training—huge compliments to the medical and performance department of the FA and thanks to everyone at Arsenal. We are on it and we are speaking to Ben. It's now a question about getting more minutes and rhythm. He has every chance to be back."
White's return to the national team could bolster England's defensive options, given his versatility in playing both right-back and center-back positions. As he regains full match fitness following his knee injury, White aims to contribute to England's upcoming fixtures, including the World Cup qualifier against Andorra and a friendly against Senegal.
