Gabriel Magalhães Nears Long-Term Contract Extension with Arsenal
Gabriel Magalhães is on the verge of finalising a long-term contract extension with Arsenal, reinforcing his pivotal role in Mikel Arteta's defensive lineup. The Brazilian centre-back's current agreement, which runs until 2027, is set to be enhanced to reflect his importance to the club.

Since joining from Lille in 2020, Gabriel has been instrumental in Arsenal's defensive stability, forming a formidable partnership with William Saliba. His consistent performances have made him a fan favourite at the Emirates Stadium. Despite interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia, including Al Nassr, who reportedly offered a €20 million annual salary, Gabriel has expressed his desire to remain at Arsenal and continue his development under Arteta's guidance.

Arsenal's management, led by new sporting director Andrea Berta, is keen to secure Gabriel's future at the club. Discussions are ongoing, with the aim of concluding the agreement before the start of the new season. This move is part of a broader strategy to retain key players, including Bukayo Saka and William Saliba, whose contracts also expire in 2027.
