Crystal Palace defender Joel Ward made a heartfelt statement during the FA Cup final by inscribing the Bible verse Ephesians 3:20 on his wrist.
The verse reads, "Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think." This personal gesture underscored Ward's deep Christian faith and served as a source of inspiration during one of the most significant matches in the club's history.

In a stunning upset at Wembley Stadium, Crystal Palace clinched their first-ever major trophy by defeating Manchester City 1–0 in the 2025 FA Cup final. The decisive goal came in the 16th minute when Eberechi Eze finished a well-orchestrated move involving Jean-Philippe Mateta and Daniel Muñoz .

Despite City dominating possession and creating numerous chances, Palace's resolute defense and tactical discipline held firm. Goalkeeper Dean Henderson delivered a standout performance, notably saving a penalty from Omar Marmoush in the 36th minute and making several crucial saves throughout the match .

This victory not only secured the FA Cup for Crystal Palace but also earned them a spot in the UEFA Europa League for the first time, marking a new chapter in the club's history .
