Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo Set to Target Manchester United Transfer in Upcoming Window

Bryan Mbeumo has reportedly prioritized a potential transfer to Manchester United this summer. The Brentford forward, who enjoyed an impressive season with 20 Premier League goals and eight assists, has attracted interest from several top clubs including Arsenal, Tottenham, and Newcastle United. However, sources indicate that Mbeumo favors a move to Old Trafford.

Manchester United is keen to strengthen their attacking options under manager Rúben Amorim and is preparing a significant bid estimated around £42 million for the Cameroonian international. This follows the club’s recent acquisition of Matheus Cunha from Wolves. Additionally, with the potential departure of Bruno Fernandes, United is also considering Sporting Lisbon’s Pedro Gonçalves as a replacement.

Brentford values Mbeumo at approximately £50 million and holds an option to extend his contract until 2027, which could strengthen their negotiating position. Despite this, Brentford manager Thomas Frank has conceded that the club may sanction Mbeumo’s transfer if a satisfactory offer is received.

Newcastle United remains a contender, reportedly prepared to meet Brentford’s asking price. Nonetheless, Mbeumo’s preference for Manchester United could give the Red Devils a competitive edge in the race for his signature.

As the summer transfer window approaches, Manchester United appears poised to reshape their attacking lineup, with Mbeumo set to be a pivotal addition.
