Caitlyn Jenner, the 75‑year‑old former Olympic decathlete and transgender activist, is currently in Tel Aviv and unable to depart following a significant escalation in hostilities between Israel and Iran. The conflict, which erupted on June 13, has seen Iran respond to Israeli strikes with a barrage of ballistic missiles and drones targeting multiple Israeli cities .
Jenner traveled to Israel to take part in Tel Aviv Pride Week events, including serving as a guest of honor at the Pride parade. However, large-scale airstrikes led to the cancellation of festivities, and the country’s main airport, Ben Gurion, was shut down—leaving Jenner, along with thousands of other visitors, temporarily grounded .
During the attacks, Jenner sought shelter in bomb-resistant rooms multiple times, documenting her experiences on social media. On Instagram, she shared a photo of missile trails across the night sky, captioned: “A ‘quiet’ night in Tel Aviv. There is not a place I'd rather be than with the brave people of Israel. God, please continue to shield and protect us.” Earlier, she had posted an image of herself and Israeli influencer Regev Gur enjoying wine in a Tel Aviv shelter, asserting, “We are safe, we are strong” .
Jenner expressed solidarity with Israelis throughout the ordeal, stating in one post: “My heart is with Israel now and forever. Evil shall not prevail” . She also tweeted praise for Israel’s leadership and noted U.S. support, writing, “Israeli jets [are] overhead in Iran now… (Bye bye terrorists)… Thank you to all allies! PEACE FOR ALL!” .
As of now, airspace remains closed. However, reports indicate that Jenner and other stranded individuals have begun exiting Israel via land crossings into Jordan, with hopes of continuing their journeys as soon as flights resume .
