Napoli have officially recalled Nigeria international Victor Osimhen to begin pre-season training ahead of the 2025–26 Serie A season. A summons from the club has scheduled his return to Castel Volturno on 15 July, marking the start of preparations under incoming manager Antonio Conte.
Osimhen, whose loan with Galatasaray ends on 1 July, will return to Napoli unless a permanent transfer is swiftly arranged. His successful season in Turkey included 37 goals and eight assists, contributing heavily to Galatasaray’s domestic double.
Transfer negotiations this summer were fraught: a high-value move to Saudi Arabia disintegrated amid pricing disputes, and a €30 million-per-year offer from Al-Hilal was declined.
Tentative plans include medical assessments on 14–15 July, followed by training in Dimaro (17–27 July) and Castel di Sangro (30 July–14 August). With a contract extending to June 2026, plus an optional year, Osimhen's role in Conte’s project will hinge on whether he departs before the squad convenes this July.
