Désiré Doué Named UEFA Champions League Young Player of the Season
Paris Saint-Germain's rising star, Désiré Doué, has been honored with the UEFA Champions League Young Player of the Season award for the 2024–25 campaign, following a series of outstanding performances that culminated in PSG's historic first European title.

At just 19 years old, Doué delivered a standout performance in the final against Inter Milan, contributing two goals and an assist in PSG's commanding 5–0 victory. This feat made him the first player in Champions League history to be directly involved in three goals during a final and the youngest to both score and assist in such a match.

Throughout the tournament, Doué featured in 13 matches, amassing 525 minutes of playtime. He recorded three goals and four assists, maintaining a passing accuracy of 83.24%. His versatility and composure under pressure were evident, notably when he scored the decisive penalty in PSG's shootout victory over Liverpool in the Round of 16.

Doué's journey to PSG began with his development at Stade Rennais, where he progressed through the youth academy before making his professional debut in 2022. His impressive performances caught the attention of PSG, leading to his transfer in August 2024.

Under the guidance of coach Luis Enrique, Doué has become an integral part of PSG's youthful and dynamic squad. His contributions were pivotal in PSG's treble-winning season, which included triumphs in Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, and the UEFA Champions League.

Doué's exceptional season has also earned him a place in the UEFA Champions League Team of the Season, alongside six of his PSG teammates. As he continues to develop, Doué is poised to be a key figure for both PSG and the French national team in the years to come.
