Barcelona’s promising pre-season tour in Asia reached a euphoric high as Marcus Rashford netted his first goal for the club and celebrated alongside Lamine Yamal, who playfully adopted Rashford’s iconic goal celebration.
Rashford, on a season-long loan from Manchester United, made his way onto the field during Barcelona’s dominant 5–0 friendly win over Daegu FC in South Korea, converting an Eric García assist in the 65th minute to cap off the scoring spree. He had earlier debuted on July 27 against Vissel Kobe, playing 30 minutes before returning for this match. After scoring, Rashford celebrated with composure and confidence.

The moment followed a light-hearted exchange before kick-off, where Rashford jokingly tapped Yamal’s left leg. Rashford later appeared amused and upbeat after scoring, with fans and teammates joining in the celebration.

Yamal, Barcelona’s teenage sensation and current holder of the club’s number 10 shirt, has quickly embraced Rashford as a teammate. During training sessions, he was seen playfully mimicking Rashford’s trademark celebration. A video of Yamal replicating Rashford’s pose in front of teammates quickly went viral and was praised by fans.

Barcelona’s Asian tour ended on a strong note with three consecutive wins (1–3 vs Vissel Kobe, 3–7 vs FC Seoul, 0–5 vs Daegu FC), showcasing growing chemistry between youth and experience. Yamal’s creativity and flair once again drew praise, while Rashford’s debut goal served as a positive sign ahead of the new season.

In the match against Daegu, goals came from Gavi (twice), Lewandowski, Toni Fernández, and Rashford. Yamal played a key role in the build-up to several of the goals, further underlining his importance to the squad.

Rashford scored his first Barcelona goal on August 4, 2025, finishing clinically from 12 yards out. Yamal joined in the celebration and later imitated Rashford’s style in training—an interaction fans have highlighted as a promising sign of team chemistry.

Their growing connection reflects the balance of experience and youth Barcelona is working to achieve, with the LaLiga season opener scheduled for August 17, 2025, against Mallorca. While some player registrations remain unresolved, Barcelona supporters have been given a glimpse of exciting partnerships forming on and off the pitch.
