Alexander Isak Set to Wear Iconic No. 9 Shirt at Liverpool After Record Transfer

Liverpool are reportedly set to finalize a marquee move for striker Alexander Isak, who is expected to don the iconic number 9 shirt. With Newcastle United having accepted a record-breaking offer—widely reported to be in the region of £125 million—Isak is now undertaking his medical examination at Liverpool’s training ground 

While the transfer awaits official confirmation, reports from Sportbladet suggest that Isak has already been seen wearing a No. 9 jersey around the training facility. This number became available following the departure of Darwin Núñez to the Saudi Pro League .

At Newcastle, Isak had previously worn the number 14 shirt—currently occupied by Federico Chiesa at Liverpool—making No. 9 the natural alternative .
