At her wedding, Otedola delivered an emotional speech filled with moving reflections and fatherly insights. He credited his wife, Nana, for her sacrifices, revealing that when Temi was born, he was consumed by the pursuit of success and that Nana bore the brunt of raising the family alone. “I was busy looking for money to look after them,” he confessed, expressing deep gratitude for her unwavering dedication .
Recalling the first time Temi introduced Mr Eazi to the family, Otedola admitted that while he initially hesitated—“I saw the dreadlocks and said, ‘Well...’”—he ultimately felt a profound intuition that this was the right match for his daughter, informed by a prophetic insight passed down through generations .
He also shared how their wedding plan was nearly derailed on two separate occasions: first, by geopolitical tensions in Dubai, where missile fire almost disrupted the celebrations; and then by a powerful storm that destroyed their wedding tent. Yet, far from being deterred, the couple’s path seemed divinely affirmed .
Turning his gaze to the couple, Otedola offered candid, if traditional, counsel. To his daughter, he said: “You have to succumb to the whims of your husband. He is your husband and boss; no more Daddy, don’t call me.” To Mr Eazi, he counseled: “I have seen the entrepreneurial skill in you. Continue to love Temi. When you have problems, don’t involve third parties. Keep them within your wall, and God will bless you.” Their bond, he declared, was “made in heaven” .
Temi and Mr Eazi’s love story reached its delightful culmination after several celebrations across three continents. The couple hosted a civil ceremony in Monaco, a traditional Yoruba ceremony in Dubai enriched with Naija food, attire, and King Sunny Ade’s performance, and a final white wedding in Iceland at the scenic Hallgrímskirkja Church .
Amid these joyous celebrations, Temi confirmed her new married status. She embraced her husband’s surname—Ajibade—and updated her social media accordingly, posting a joint wedding picture with the caption: “Mr and Mrs Ajibade."
