Hansi Flick Confirms Raphinha’s Comeback After Hamstring Injury

Hansi Flick has confirmed that Brazilian winger Raphinha will return to Barcelona’s squad this weekend against Athletic Club at Camp Nou. The forward, who has been sidelined since September with a hamstring injury, is expected to start from the bench as he gradually regains match fitness.  

FC Barcelona manager Hansi Flick delivered encouraging news ahead of the club’s home fixture against Athletic Club this weekend. Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Flick announced the return of Raphinha, who has been absent since late September due to a hamstring injury.  

“Raphinha is back,” Flick stated. “He will begin on the bench, and we will see how many minutes he can play.”  

The Brazilian’s recovery marks a significant boost for Barcelona, who have struggled in his absence, suffering defeats against Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid. His pace and creativity on the right flank have been sorely missed, and Flick emphasized that his reintegration will be carefully managed to avoid setbacks.  

This weekend’s clash at Camp Nou carries added importance, as it will be Barcelona’s first home game since renovations allowed 45,000 fans back into the stadium. The return of Raphinha adds to a wave of positive updates for the squad, with goalkeeper Joan Garcia also cleared to play following a meniscus injury.
