On Thursday, 6 November 2025, Ojeogwu was arraigned on charges including criminal conspiracy, criminal trespass, assault, criminal intimidation and theft. He had been remanded in custody pending bail.
According to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, the case follows a petition dated 28 October 2025 which alleged that Ojeogwu and three others ignored multiple police invitations, leading to his arrest in Lagos and transfer to Abuja for investigation.
His legal team, headed by Marshal D F Abubakar, succeeded in securing the bail; the amount is reported to be ₦5 million.
