The disappearance of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officer, Superintendent Route Commander Funmilayo Oluwamayokun Lasisi, and her teenage daughter, Sewa, has ended in tragedy. Their mutilated remains were discovered at the residence of a suspected herbalist in Osun State, in what authorities believe to be a ritual killing.
Lasisi, a respected 39-year-old senior officer known for overseeing multiple routes and enforcement operations, and her daughter were declared missing on November 2, 2025, after leaving their home in Abeokuta, Ogun State, and failing to return. The grim discovery was made over the weekend, sparking outrage and renewed concerns about ritual-related violence in Nigeria.
Police investigations revealed that the herbalist’s wife has been arrested, while the prime suspect remains at large. The Osun and Ogun State Police Commands have launched a joint investigation, vowing to bring all perpetrators to justice.
